Today we are launching Protium Green Solutions Europe – the first international expansion of Protium’s hydrogen service offering. Protium Green Solutions will open an office in the Netherlands, developing renewables and installing the electrolysers and infrastructure necessary to deliver decarbonised energy to industrial heat and transport users across the continent.

Protium’s chief operating officer, Jack Eastwood, will lead the European office as managing director. His leadership will provide continuity, leveraging Protium’s expertise while building a team dedicated to European projects. Eastwood’s experience taking Protium through multiple funding rounds and growing the team from 3 to 65 demonstrates his ability to build capability, which he will apply to rapidly grow the European-focused business.

Commenting on the opening of a European office, Jack said: “Europe has strongly committed to supporting green hydrogen but still has a shortage of available gas to allow companies to achieve their net zero targets. We can bring our experience deploying assets and supplying green hydrogen to our customers to accelerate the transition. I am looking forward to leading the business on the continent and contributing to a European hydrogen economy.”

Protium chief executive Chris Jackson added: “Jack is part of Protium’s founding team, making him a natural choice to lead our first international expansion. The hydrogen landscape in Europe is compelling and presents a clear opportunity for our expertise to help new clients decarbonise their industrial heat and transport.”

Further announcements regarding key hires and launch location will be made in due course. Parties interested in working with Protium Green Solutions Europe can get in touch with Jack and the team at
