LONDON, UK – Protium, one of the UK’s leading green hydrogen companies, today announces the appointment of Ed Hotard, to the Protium Advisory Board.
Ed Hotard brings more than three decades of global leadership experience across the industrial gases, engineered equipment, technology, and investment sectors. He currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SIAD Americas LLC and is leading the expansion of SIAD’s engineering operations throughout the Americas, combining the company’s advanced technologies with localised fabrication capabilities to better serve regional customers.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, Hotard advises the Chairman of SIAD S.p.A. on technology, energy transition, and strategic growth initiatives and serves as a Board Advisor to PT Samator, one of Indonesia’s leading industrial gases companies.
Previously, Hotard held a number of senior leadership positions, including President and Chief Operating Officer of Praxair, Inc. (now Linde plc), Chairman of Monitor Group China (now Deloitte Consulting), Venture Partner at ARCH Venture Partners, Operating Partner at Hao Capital, and Senior Advisor to Warburg Pincus China. He also led the establishment of SIAD’s engineered equipment business in China.
Throughout his career, Hotard has served on the boards of more than 20 private and public companies across the United States, Europe, and Japan, as well as three Chinese state-owned enterprises and five nonprofit and industry association boards. His extensive international experience, operational expertise, and strategic insight will be valuable assets to the Board as the Company continues to execute its growth strategy.
