Job Title: Paralegal

Term: Six months Fixed Term contract

Salary: £ 26,000 pro rata

You will work on some of the most challenging and innovative decarbonisation projects that have been proposed in the UK (and perhaps the world), whilst contributing towards the UKʼs Net Zero emission goals. We offer regular contact time with senior management, as well as significant autonomy and authority to lead project workstreams and own relationships with clients as well as suppliers.

The Role:

The Paralegal shall report into the General Counsel, Legal Counsel, and Financial Controller. Their activities will include (but may not be limited to):

- Working with the Legal Team and offering support as needed

- Negotiating minor contracts (e.g. NDAs)

- Supporting on negotiating larger contracts

- Legal research into renewable energy and hydrogen regulations

- Document organisation and filing

- Ad-hoc support to other teams as required, such as Engineering, Business Development, Finance, and HR

- Assisting with delivering company-wide legal training

Experience/attributes/skills required

- Strong academics, including a law degree or GDL and LPC or LLM

- Previous experience in negotiating contracts

- Excellent drafting, presentation, and written communication skills

- Excellent accuracy and strong attention to detail

- Understanding of the UK renewables and hydrogen sector

- Ability to acquire, consolidate and apply fundamental and up-to-date knowledge of the law

- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and online research tools

- Enthusiastic and entrepreneurial

- The ability to work well as part of a team

- The ability to operate professionally and proactively at all times
